Pot Bunkers with Revetted Sides

Definition of a Pot Bunker: A small, round but very deep bunker with steep faces common to links-type courses. British Open courses are famous for their pot (sometimes called pothole) bunkers, most of them greenside and many of them so deep that a person standing on the green may not be able to see the player standing in the bunker. Its also not uncommon for pot bunkers to be unseen from the tee.

Pot Bunker Construction: Use evergreen lawns Deep Cut Big Rolls DCBR's, measuring 0.74m x 5m x 35 - 40mm thick. On site the turf can be cut to any size, to aid convenience for handling. DCBR's form the walls of the bunker and over time grass will establish on the wall face, creating a stunning feature.

Standard Big Rolls

Evergreen big rolls will cover large areas of fairways quickly. A frame for the rear of a compact tractor can be supplied for ease of rolling out the big rolls.
